GET YOUR GROOVE ON
DRUM WORKSHOP
$75/student (minimum 3 students/class)
Weekly during the months of June and July
Study and application of the rhythms that propel rock, pop, and R&B music. The focus will be primarily on the “groove triangle” of bass drum, snare drum and hi-hat. We will also spend time on fills and applying them in song contexts.
SUMMERTIME BLUES
GUITAR WORKSHOP
$75/student (minimum 3 students/class)
Weekly during the months of June and July
“The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll” - Muddy Waters
This class will help you unlock the sounds of the blues through improvisation and accompaniment. Supercharge your your blues playing through this class taught by Stephen Lee, one of Preslar Music’s fine guitar instructors.
SHREDUCATION
GUITAR WORKSHOP
$75/student (minimum 3 students/class)
Weekly during the months of June and July
Rhythm Riffs, Speed Runs, Picking, Tapping, Arpeggios, Legato Technique, Bends, Hammer-on’s, and Pull-off’s are all shredding techniques that will be covered in this week-long, class led by Brandon Autry, one of Preslar Music’s fine guitar instructors.
TUNE IT UP
A VOCAL MASTERCLASS
$140/student (minimum 3 students/class)
Weekly during the months of June and July
A group vocal class in which students come prepared to sing their own song selections and be critiqued by our vocal instructor(s). This is not only a great performance outlet, BUT a great way to learn by watching others learn! Theory, sight-singing, ear training, blending, and harmony will be incorporated in this week-long workshop as well. Tune It Up!
BAND AID
A SUMMER BAND EXPERIENCE
$250/student (audition required)
Weekly during the months of June and July
Band Camps are a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience working together in a 1-week, highly-concentrated atmosphere that includes song selection, rehearsals, and studio recording. It's an exciting experience that your "Rock Star" won't wanna miss!
